SCREENWRITING
For many years, Genevieve’s writing routine was entirely lacklustre. Spending her days thinking about writing, rather than just taking her Ritalin and hopping to it, Genevieve spent much of her adolescence daydreaming her life away…
Until, her first ever draft of her first ever screenplay, Umbra, which she wrote hastily over the three days leading up to The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Nicholl Fellowship deadline. This coming-of-age comedy-drama took Genevieve from being one of the 5600 world-wide entrants, all the way to the Semi-Finals with only 149 other writers.
Genevieve is currently working on a handful of new projects:
A feature-length satirical comedy on the nature of God
A feature-length whodunnit against the backdrop of Aussie politics & the child-protection system.
A 30-minute satirical pilot on The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, set in the afterlife.
