POETRY

It is entirely conceivable that anthropologists would theorise a tangible link between Genevieve’s sexuality and her affinity for High School English. A closeted lesbian from a Catholic, conservative family, studying at a private Catholic school for girls? Naturally, poetry would become her most prolific export.

In April of 2024, Genevieve self-published her first collection of poems, Lessons in Adolescence. A prismatic collection of writing woven together delicately with observations on ego, longing, metamorphosis, love and leaving; Lessons in Adolescence nourishes the solitude of hidden identity with self-companionship and acceptance.
